Question: I need a little help operating my newly purchased solar string lights. I\'ve positioned the solar cell in the sun, moved the switch to the \"on\" position and they light up during the day. However, after dark-- nothing. What should I be doing differently in order for them to illuminate at night? Also, how often does the battery need to be replaced? Stephanie

Answer: Put them in the sun in the \"off\" position and let them charge for at least 24 hours before turning it on. Make sure that it has direct access to the sun. Batteries should last about 1 year. They are easy to replace.
