Candela Glow is a beautiful set of two, four or eight cordless, rechargeable luminaries and come in a variety of colors. Like candles, they provide warm, ambient light, whether they're used when gathering with friends for dinner or curling up with a book. But unlike candles, they won't blow out in the wind, drip wax over the table or set the house on fire if left unattended. Candelas can be recharged and reused every day for indoor or outdoor dining, in the bedroom as a portable nightlight, or year-round throughout the house as a warm, festive light source.

The pillars light up via an on/off switch or automatically when removed from the platter. They recharge when returned to the base. They use a patented magnetic charging technology that will satisfy the high-tech cravings of even the geekiest Don Juan!

IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY: the next generation of Candela is here. Employing LED lights instead of incandescent, the Candela now uses much less energy yet produces 1.5 times as much light! The smaller batteries stay lit longer - 8 hours. The lights have a slightly new shape for improved light diffusion and the charger has been updated to a light grey.

Each Candela light, which is 6.5" tall and 2.5" in diameter, now stays lit for up to eight hours, providing a diffused, ambient light for your evening. They can be used individually or together on the platter as a single, bright light source. Intelligent circuitry makes them turn on automatically when lifted from the charger, and they start to recharge as soon as they're put back. Charging occurs magnetically via induction coils hidden within the base and luminaries (like an electric toothbrush) so there are no external contacts.
