I’m using two sizes of round stickers to place on the outside of the glass. After the stickers are adhered to the glass, spray the outside of the holder with the frosted glass spray paint (remember to read and follow directions that are on the can). I suggest doing the painting either outside or at least somewhere that gets air.
Let the votives dry for about an hour and then remove the stickers and voila: your very own homemade votive! I am using our flameless tea lights inside and they look fantastic.

Valentine’s Day for some of you may be full of fresh flowers, boxes of chocolates and romantic dinners. Actually for most of us it’s probably exactly like that. Which is great and what girl would ever refuse a bouquet of fresh roses or a box of chocolate (not me!). But I am always thinking of new and unique ways to show my love on Valentine’s Day. I don’t like doing the same thing as everyone else, year after year. I like to put my own stamp and personality on how I express and show my love. So, this year instead of getting my boyfriend a card or making him a special dinner, (honestly, if I made dinner on Valentine’s Day, it wouldn’t really be different from any other day) I thought that I would decorate our apartment with lights and flameless candles, so we can enjoy our take out ( it still is Valentine’s Day folks, not cooking or cleaning dishes on Valentine’s Day is a treat!) and bask in the glow of our love, or something like that .
With the huge assortment that lights.com has in decorative and special occasion lighting, the options are endless terms of how to decorate inexpensively and still be able to enjoy your take-out, (especially important to me because I live in expensive NYC!) LED tea candles, battery operated taper candles and flameless pillar candles are great options if you end up having one (or three) extra glasses of wine and decide to pass out for the night while the candles are still burning (turned on).
If you want to celebrate Valentine’s day using a party theme, then led string lights, submersible led lights and color changing LED lights will definitely give you that fun atmosphere. I think this is a great option for young lovers because keeping the atmosphere playful will take away some of the pressure and expectations that inevitably comes from Valentine’s Day.
