The Aduki Mathmos Light Pod is a rechargeable, portable, cordless, pod-shaped light that fits comfortably into the palm of your hand. Employing the color-changing properties of LEDs to stunning effect, the Aduki Light Pod by Mathmos progresses calmly and seamlessly through 1 of 3 parts of the color spectrum - blue to green, green to red or red to blue, with the ability to freeze on a color at any stage of the transition with the touch of a button.

Aduki light pod charges up like a cell phone and will last 6-8 hours without a lead. It is splashproof, so it's ideal for use in the garden as an ambient light. Choose from 3 different color ways.

The Aduki lightpod compliments the Mathmos family of portable and rechargeable kinetic lights, which includes the award-winning Bubble and Tumbler lights, plus the new AirSwitch lamp. Mathmos of London, the original makers of the lava lamp, uses the latest in LED technology to design lights which each have their own unique style. 

The Aduki, named after a bean used in ceremonial dishes in Japan and China, is available in three different color waves, each one moving through a variant of kaleidoscopic colors. For example, the blue to red model starts off blue and moves gradually through a spectrum of pinks and violets to reds and then starts all over again. A silicon button on the base of the Aduki light pod allows you to turn the light on and off and to freeze on any desired color.

The polished zinc alloy base gives the Aduki light pod weight and solidity. On the original Aduki, the light diffusing case is made from a molded, soft-touch thermoplastic, while the new Aduki(ni) has a thermoplastic mirrored surface. Both styles are illuminated by using LEDs mounted internally. It comes with a cable charger, which is plugged in overnight and provides up to six hours of light, perfect for a full evening.
